Normal Operation
The PATS uses an LED indicator. This indicator proves out for three seconds when the ignition switch is turned to ON or START. If there is a PATS concern, this indicator either flashes rapidly or glows steadily (for more than three seconds) when the ignition switch is turned to ON or START. PATS also flashes the theft indicator every two seconds at key OFF to act as a visual theft deterrent.

Possible Causes
- no signal from anti-theft module
- anti-theft LED is inoperative
- powertrain control module (PCM)
- circuit 645 (WH/LB)
- circuit 343 (DB/LG)
