Normal Operation
Under normal operation the exterior mirror control switch uses circuits 540 (RD), 541 (DB), 542 (YE), 543 (DG) or 544 (VT) to control the exterior mirror movement.
- When power is received through circuit 540 (RD)/ 543 (DG) and ground through circuit 542 (YE) the LH/RH exterior mirror will operate left.
- When ground is received through circuit 540 (RD)/ 543 (DG) and power through circuit 542 (YE) the LH/RH exterior mirror will operate right.
- When power is received through circuit 541 (DB)/ 544 (VT) and ground through circuit 542 (YE) the LH/RH exterior mirror will operate up.
- When ground is received through circuit 541 (DB)/ 544 (VT) and power through circuit 542 (YE) the LH/RH exterior mirror will operate up.

Possible Causes
- Open in circuits 540 (RD), 541 (DB), 543 (DG) or 544 (VT).
- Inoperative exterior mirror control switch.
- Inoperative exterior mirror motor.
