Normal Operation
The parking aid system is enabled when the vehicle ignition is in RUN and REVERSE is selected. The parking aid module supplies power to the parking aid sensors on circuit 1439 (BN/PK). The parking aid module supplies ground to the parking aid sensors on circuit 1440 (DG/YE). The parking aid module receives a signal from the parking aid sensors on circuits 1444 (DB/YE), 1443 (WH/LB), 1442 (DG/WH) and 1441 (WH/LG). The system can be disabled through the message center located in the instrument cluster. The parking aid speaker is integral to the parking aid module. A 750 Hz variable warning tone is generated from a parking aid speaker attached to the parking aid module. The parking aid speaker increases the warning tone rate as the vehicle gets closer to an obstacle.
