Normal Operation
The check gauge warning indicator status information is transmitted to the instrument cluster over the CAN, using circuits 3125 (RD/YE) and 3126 (TN/YE). The PCM will send a signal to the instrument cluster to turn on the check gauge warning indicator if the engine oil pressure drops below approximately 42 kPa (6 psi), the engine temperature exceeds approximately 118°C (244°F), or if the fuel level drops below approximately 15 percent of fuel system capacity (base cluster only).
