Anti-Theft - Perimeter

ANTI-THEFT - PERIMETER

The anti-theft perimeter protection feature is controlled by the smart junction box (SJB). The alarm can be armed using the LOCK button on the remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitter; by locking the vehicle with the key in the driver door lock cylinder; by pressing 7/8 and 9/0 on the RKE keypad simultaneously, or by using the door lock control switch with the accompanying door open. The SJB then monitors all features and activates the alarm in the event of an unauthorized entry.

The perimeter alarm can only be disarmed using the RKE transmitter, the door lock cylinder, by using a valid programmed key to move the ignition switch to the RUN position, or by entering the correct vehicle unlock code on the RKE keypad.

If any of the above features receives any activation once the alarm has been armed, the alarm will activate the visual and audible alerts.
