Normal Operation
The SJB monitors the headlamp switch inputs. After receiving the signal for the autolamps ON request from the headlamp switch, the SJB then monitors the light sensor ambient light conditions by sending a signal to the light sensor through circuit 1416 (YE/WH). The light sensor is grounded through circuit 1203 (BK/LB). If a problem is detected with any of the voltage reference signals to the headlamp switch, the SJB will default the headlamps and parking lamps ON.
Possible Causes
- Circuit 1203 (BK/LB) open
- Circuit 1416 (YE/WH) open or short to power
- Light sensor
- SJB
