Horn: Description and Operation
HORNThere are 3 separate conditions that can cause the horn to sound. The horn sounds if the driver presses the horn switch, when the vehicle security module is armed, or when the tire pressure monitoring system (TMPS) module is in the calibration mode. The horn system uses a horn relay to provide voltage to the horns, while the horn switch, vehicle security module, and TMPS module provide the grounds to engage the horn relay. For more information about the TMPS system, refer to Wheels, Tires, and Alignment. The horn switch is integrated into the air bag.
The vehicle security module is located behind the right quarter trim panel.
