REAR SEAT BACKREST

Removal and Installation

Both rear seat backrests
1. Tilt the 2 rear seat cushions to the forward position.
2. Tilt the 2 rear seat backrests to the forward position.
3. Remove the 3 rear carpet pin-type retainers and position the carpet aside.
4. Remove the 2 nuts and bolt from the 40% rear seat backrest bracket.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

5. Position the 40% seat backrest to the upright position.
6. Release the latch and tilt the 40% rear seat cushion to the forward position.
7. Remove the bolt from the 40% rear seat backrest bracket and remove the 40% rear seat backrest.
- Position the safety belt buckle through the guide.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

60% rear seat backrest
8. Remove the nut from the 60% rear seat backrest bracket.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

9. Position the 60% rear seat backrest to the upright position.
10. Release the latch and tilt the 60% rear seat cushion to the forward position.
11. Using the special tool, remove the rear seat safety belt anchor bolt.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

12. Remove the bolt from the 60% rear seat backrest bracket and remove the backrest.
- Position the safety belt through the guide.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

Both rear seat backrests
13. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
