Principles of Operation - 3.0LCooling Fans
The cooling fans are controlled by 3 relays to provide 2 speeds. If DTCs P0480, P0481 or P0482 are present, refer to Computers and Control Systems for diagnosis.
In HIGH speed, voltage is supplied through the following relays to energize the RH cooling fan motors, then the LH cooling fan motor:
^ Low speed fan control relay
^ High speed for control
^ Engine cooling fan relay
In LOW speed, voltage is supplied to the following relay, then to the RH cooling fan motor:
^ Low speed fan control relay
