Lubricate
    Ball Joint
      Lubricate ball joints and steering linkage, if equipped with zerk fittings.
Inspect
    Vehicle
      Perform Multi-Point Inspection (Recommended by Ford) Refer to Routine Service.
    Steering and Suspension
      Inspect steering linkage, ball joints, suspension and, if equipped, half shafts, driveshaft and U-joints.
    Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve
      Inspect PCV valve for flow (3V engines only).
    Exhaust System
      Inspect exhaust system and heat shields.
    Cooling System
      Inspect engine cooling system and hoses.
    Brakes and Traction Control
      Inspect brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums, brake lines, hoses, and parking brake system.
Replace
    Wheel Bearing
      Replace 4x2 wheel bearings and grease seals, lubricate and adjust bearings.
    Oil Filter, Engine
    Fuel Filter
    Fluid Filter - A/T
      Change automatic transmission/transaxle fluid filter, (not required on CD4E). Replace the remote filter element on vehicles equipped with the Torqshift transmission.
    Fluid - Differential
      Change front and/or rear axle lubricant (refer to Normal Vehicle Axle Maintenance for additional information).
    Fluid - A/T
      Change automatic transmission/transaxle fluid on all vehicles.
    Engine Oil
      Or every 6 months whichever occurs first.
    Drive Belt
      Replace accessory drive belt(s) if not replaced within the last 100,000 miles.
    Coolant
      After initial change - change Premium Gold coolant every 3 years or 50,000 miles whichever occurs first.
    Cabin Air Filter / Purifier
      Replace cabin air filter if equipped.
    Air Filter Element
      Replace engine air filter.
Rotate
    Tires
      Inspect tires for wear and rotate.
