Normal Operation
When the system is armed, the door ajar, the anti-theft hood, and the liftgate ajar switches are monitored by the smart junction box (SJB). If the SJB detects an opening of any of these entry points without a disarm order, or if the ignition switch is cycled to the RUN position without the powertrain control module (PCM) sensing a valid passive anti-theft system (PATS) key, the SJB supplies voltage to the horn.
Possible Causes
- SJB
- anti-theft hood switch
- circuit 1205 (BK) open
- circuit 1304 (VT/OG) open or short to ground
