Test J: The Driver/Passenger Climate Controlled Seat Module Does Not Respond To The Diagnostic Tool

PINPOINT TEST J: THE DRIVER/PASSENGER CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT MODULE DOES NOT RESPOND TO THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL

J1-J3:

Normal Operation
The driver or passenger climate controlled seat module communicates with the diagnostic tool through the universal asynchronous receiver-transmitter (UART)-based protocol (UBP) network, circuit 2077 (PK/LB). Check circuit 2077 (PK/LB) between the climate controlled seat module and the data link connector (DLC) C251. The total resistance value must not be more than 5 ohms. If the resistance is more than 5 ohms, there is an open in UBP network circuit, damage to the DLC C251, damage to the climate controlled seat module connector, or a problem in the in-line connectors.

Possible Causes
- UBP circuit 2077 (PK/LB) open
- driver climate controlled seat module C3031a
- passenger climate controlled seat module C3036a
- driver or passenger climate controlled seat module
