Test C: The Ignition Switch Is Inoperative
Pinpoint Test C: The Ignition Switch Is InoperativeNormal Operation
The ignition switch receives fused battery voltage from the bussed electrical center (BEC) fuse 64 (20A) circuit 1050 (LG/VT) and fuse 67 (20A) circuit 1118 (RD) The smart junction box (SJB) receives voltage from the ignition switch on circuits 297 (BK/LG), 1044 (WH/YE), 1522 (DG), and 1717 (VT/OG). The ignition switch has 5 possible states:
^ OFF - No voltage on any circuit to the SJB.
^ RUN/ACC - Voltage on circuit 297 (BK/LG) to the SJB.
^ RUN/START - Voltage on circuit 1044 (WH/YE) to the SJB.
^ START - Voltage on circuit 1522 (DG) to the SJB.
^ RUN - Voltage on circuit 1717 (VT/OG) to the SJB.
Possible Causes
^ Fuse
^ Circuit 297 (BK/LG) open
^ Circuit 1050 (LG/VT) open
^ Circuit 1118 (RD) open
^ Ignition switch
^ SJB
