PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION

The DSM is on the universal asynchronous receiver-transmitter (UART)-based protocol (UBP) communication network. The DSM controls the positioning and programming of the driver seat, the memory pedals and the memory exterior mirrors using hardwired circuits for all of the functions. The DSM is located under the driver seat.
