Normal Operation
Fuel level status is monitored by the smart junction box (SJB) from the fuel level sender (part of the fuel pump module assembly) through circuits 1356 (LG/VT) and 1357 (LB/YE). The SJB transmits the fuel level data to the instrument cluster over the communication network.

DTC B1201 - sets on-demand in the SJB if a short to ground is detected on circuit 1356 (LG/VT).

DTC B1202 - sets on-demand in the SJB and is a continuous code set in the instrument cluster if an open or short to voltage is detected on the fuel level signal circuit 1356 (LG/VT) or return circuit 1357 (LB/YE).

DTC B1204 - is a continuous code that sets in the instrument cluster if the SJB detects a short to ground on the fuel level signal circuit 1356 (LG/VT).

Possible Causes
- Circuit 1356 (LG/VT) open, short to ground or voltage
- Circuit 1357 (LB/YE) open or short to voltage
- Circuits 1356 (LG/VT) and 1357 (LB/YE) short together
- Fuel pump module jumper harness
- Fuel tank
- Fuel pump module assembly
- Fuel level sensor
- SJB
- Instrument cluster
