Normal Operation
The powertrain control module (PCM) provides the vehicle speed rolling count status to the instrument cluster over the communication network. The instrument cluster uses the vehicle speed data from the PCM to calculate and display the current odometer reading. If the instrument cluster does not receive odometer rolling count status for 2 seconds, dashes are displayed in the odometer display.
