1. Position the exterior mirror glass in the full inboard position and locate the notch at the bottom of the exterior mirror glass.







2. Release the exterior mirror glass.
1. Insert a long flat-blade screwdriver in the notch.
2. Push the screwdriver into the notch and gently turn until the 2 outboard glass backing plate hooks are released from the mirror motor.
3. Using your fingers, carefully release the 2 inboard glass backing plate hooks from the mirror motor.

3. If equipped, disconnect the electrical connectors from the exterior mirror glass.

Installation
1. If equipped, connect the electrical connectors to the exterior mirror glass.

2. NOTE: Motor must be not tilted to install the glass assembly.

Position the exterior mirror glass on the exterior mirror motor.

3. NOTE: Make sure the backing plate metal wire dampers are located inboard of the damper tracks. Failure to do this will restrict glass movement.

Place a hand against the back of the exterior mirror housing and a hand flat against the exterior mirror glass. Press the mirror glass in place until it is fully seated.
