Camshaft sprocket bolt
Tighten to 85 Nm (63 ft. lbs.)
Tighten to (w/SST) 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.)
Intake Manifold Bolts
Tighten to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs.)
Exhaust Manifold
Exhaust manifold nuts 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.)
Exhaust manifold studs 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.)
Exhaust manifold-to-converter nuts 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)
Cylinder Head Bolts
LH Cylinder Head Bolts
NOTE: New cylinder head bolts must be installed. They are a torque-to-yield design and cannot be reused.
Step 1: Tighten the new bolts in the sequence shown in 2 stages
- Stage 1: Tighten to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.)
- Stage 2: Tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)
Step 2: Install the two 8-mm bolts
- Tighten to 32 Nm (24 ft. lbs.)
Step 3: Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in 2 stages
- Stage 1: Rotate 90 degrees
- Stage 2: Rotate an additional 90 degrees
RH Cylinder Head Bolts
NOTE: New cylinder head bolts must be installed. They are a torque-to-yield design and cannot be reused.
Step 1: Install 8 new 12-mm bolts and tighten in the sequence shown in 2 stages
- Stage 1: Tighten to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.)
- Stage 2: Tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)
Step 2: Install 2 new 8-mm bolts.
- Tighten to 32 Nm (24 ft. lbs.)
Step 3: Tighten the eight 12-mm bolts in the sequence shown in 2 stages
- Stage 1: Rotate 90 degrees
- Stage 2: Rotate an additional 90 degrees
Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolts
Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in 2 stages.
Stage 1: Tighten to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
Stage 2: Tighten to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.).
