Test B: Clutch Chatter or Shudder

Pinpoint Test B: Clutch Chatter or Shudder

Normal Operation
Clutch pedal movement is transmitted by fluid pressure to the slave cylinder, which in turn presses the release bearing against the clutch diaphragm spring. This force causes the spring to pull the pressure plate away from the clutch disc.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
^ Transaxle mounting
^ Clutch pressure plate
^ Clutch disc
^ Flywheel
