Pinpoint Test E: Clutch Related VibrationsNormal Operation
Clutch pedal movement is transmitted by fluid pressure to the slave cylinder, which in turn presses the release bearing against the clutch diaphragm spring. This force causes the spring to pull the pressure plate away from the clutch disc.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
^ Engine component
^ Accessory drive component
^ Clutch slave cylinder
^ Flywheel
^ Pressure plate
