LIFTGATE ALIGNMENTLiftgate left and right adjustment
1. NOTE: Position the carpet for access to liftgate striker bolts.
Remove the liftgate striker.
2. Loosen, but do not remove, the hinge-to-liftgate bolts enough to permit movement of the liftgate.
3. Adjust the liftgate so that the gaps are equal.
4. Tighten the liftgate hinge-to-liftgate bolts.
- Tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).

5. Remove the headliner rear trim panel.
6. Loosen, but do not remove, the liftgate hinge-to-body fasteners enough to permit movement of the liftgate.
7. Adjust the liftgate so that the gaps are equal.
8. Tighten the liftgate hinge-to-body fasteners.
- Tighten the liftgate hinge-to-body nuts to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft).
- Tighten the liftgate hinge-to-body bolts to 32 Nm (24 lb-ft).
9. NOTE: Keep striker frame aligned fore/aft to the vehicle line. Avoid any twist in the striker frame relative to the vehicle.
Install the liftgate striker, adjust as necessary.
- Tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).
10. Install the headliner rear trim panel.
