PINPOINT TEST T: THE O/D OFF INDICATOR IS NEVER/ALWAYS ON

Normal Operation
The overdrive (O/D) off function is controlled by the O/D off switch located on the shifter assembly. The O/D off status is transmitted to the instrument cluster (IC) from the PCM (4.0L engine), or the transmission control module (TCM) (4.6L engine) over the high speed controller area network (HS-CAN).

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- TCM (4.6L engine)
- PCM (4.0L engine)
- Instrument cluster (IC)
