FRONT GRILLE STRESS CRACK - BUILT ON OR
BEFORE 1/21/2010

MERCURY:
2010 Mariner

ISSUE
Some 2010 Mariner and Mariner Hybrid vehicles (excluding Escape) built on or before 1/21/2010 may exhibit a single stress crack in the front grille directly below the emblem.

ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE








If vehicle was built on or before 1/21/2010, and exhibits a single stress crack in the front grille directly below the emblem as specified in the illustrations and has no evidence of impact damage, replace front radiator grille. (Figures 1-2)

Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-08, for removal and installation procedures.
