SYNC - LOUD INCOMING TELEPHONE CALL
VOLUME - BUILT ON OR AFTER 12/1/2008

ISSUE
Some 2009-2010 Escape and Mariner vehicles equipped with SYNC and built on or after 12/1/2008 may exhibit loud volume on incoming telephone calls.

ACTION
Reprogram the Audio Control Module (ACM) to the latest calibration using IDS release 77A.04 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the VCM 2012.1A DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.

WARRANTY STATUS: Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage Warranty/ESP coverage limits/policies/prior approvals are not altered by a TSB. Warranty/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and verified using the OASIS part coverage tool.
