CLOSE, FULLY VENT, OR SIT FLUSH WHEN
CLOSED, AND/OR ERRATIC OPERATION AFTER
VENT - BUILT 9/28/2010 - 11/14/2010

2011 Mariner

ISSUE
Some 2011 Escape and Mariner vehicles built 9/28/2010 to 11/14/2010 and equipped with a roof opening panel may exhibit one or more of the following roof opening panel symptoms: not completely closing when auto-commanded closed from a fully opened position, rear of roof opening panel glass not seated properly when closed - not completely opening to full vent position, closing from vent position results in glass dropping below roof opening, sliding rearward/forward un-commanded with glass remaining slightly open.

ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Replace roof opening panel motor assembly. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-17.

2. Perform roof opening panel motor initialization. Refer to WSM, Section 501-17.
