Preliminary Carburetor Adjustments

Note: Most adjustments are factory set, and based on guidelines determined to reduce engine emissions.

Secondary Throttle Stop Screw
The secondary throttle stop screw has been pre-set and staked. It should never need to be adjusted.

Fuel float Dry Adjustment
1. Place the bowl cover upside down without the bowl cover gasket (the float tang resting lightly on fuel inlet needle).
2. Measure clearance with gauge. clearance should be .46 inch.
3. Adjust to specified clearance by bending float level adjusting tang up or down.
