1982 Zephyr, Capri, XR7 and Continental with 3.8L/4.2/5.0L 2V Engines

F & E Series With 5.0/5.8L 2V Engines


The altitude calibrations were certified with the choke control rod (9A599) in the "STD" position. These are not to be modified.

Calibrations:
2-18W, Fairmont/Zephyr C5
2-18X, T-Bird/XR7 AOD
2-20Y, Continental
2-14W, Granada/Cougar C5
2-14X, T-Bird/XR7 AOD

The following altitude calibration was certified with the choke control rod (9A599) in the "ALT" position.

Calibration: 2-21Y, Mustang/Capri SROD

The following truck altitude calibrations were certified with the choke control rod (9A599) in the "STD" position.

Calibrations: 2-53X, F-150/250 and Bronco 2-54X, F-150/250 and Bronco 2-64X, E-150/250


In summary, the above calibrations have been designed to operate at altitude without any modifications and should not be confused with any 49 State calibrations which may require modification for operation at altitude. As indicated above, the choke control rod may be in either the "STD" or "ALT" positions and still be correct. Refer to the appropriate TSB for any service modifications on 49 State vehicles which operate in altitude.
