LINCOLN-MERCURY 1982-83 CAPRI WITH FOLD DOWN REAR SEAT
Some 1982-83 Mustang/Capri equipped with fold down rear seat may exhibit an uneven floor when the rear seat back rest is folded down in the load floor position. This condition is caused by the seat back pivot misalignment to the wheel house. To service this condition, adjust the seat back pivot ((1) bolt each side).

1. With the rear seat back in the upright position, loosen the seat back pivot bolts ((1) each side). See Figures 2 and 3 for details.
2. Grasp the lower outboard portion of the seat back and lift as far as it will go. Then, while holding the seat back in this position, torque the pivot bolts to 17-27 N-m (12-20 ft.lbs.).
