Heater tubes contacting the dash panel or rubbing together may cause a noise or rattle. This may be caused by a deformed water heater tube clamp located at the right rear of the engine.
1. Raise vehicle on hoist.

2. Looking up at the heater tubes, install a worm clamp #383523 loosely around the EGR tube and both water heater tubes on the left side (Figure 13).
3. Slide the worm clamp to the far right beside the top right hand bell housing bolt (Figure 13).
4. Tighten worm clamp.
5. Lower vehicle.
