Removal and Installation

1. Lift clutch pedal upward to disengage clutch cable self adjuster pawl and quadrant. Push quadrant forward, then detach cable from quadrant and allow quadrant to swing rearward slowly.
2. Position gear shift lever in neutral, then remove lever attaching screws and the lever.
3. Raise and support vehicle.
4. Remove dust shield.
5. Remove driveshaft. Cover extension housing to prevent leakage.
6. Disconnect electrical leads and speedometer cable from transmission.
7. Support rear of engine and remove crossmember, then lower engine as necessary and remove transmission attaching bolts and transmission.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
