Section 1 General Information
HOW TO UPDATE EMISSION TSB'sThis TSB issue is the second update of 1983 model year engine/emission calibrations. The other TSB issues that cover 1983 calibrations are 82-19A (dated Sept. 24, 1982) and 83-2A (dated Jan. 25, 1983). This TSB update contains the following:
^ A new master index covering all TSB issues and calibrations
^ 61 new or updated passenger car calibrations
^ 18 new or updated truck calibrations
^ A new section on Liquid Propane Gas (LPG) calibrations (Section 5)
^ A new section covering Diesel calibrations (Section 6)
Each TSB update is simply a continuation of the first TSB (82-19A), with all sections containing the same information and with page numbering continuing from where it left off. For example, car calibrations in 82-19A ended on page 3-45, and in 83-2A page numbers began with page 3-46 and ended on page 3-70. Car calibrations in this second update begin on page 3-71. If there has been neither new information nor changes in existing information, then neither the section nor the index for that section is changed. Upon receiving this update, discard the present index (from TSB 83-2A) and insert the new index in front of TSB 82-19A. This new index covers all information in TSB's 82-19A, 83-2A and this update 83-11A. Place the remaining part of this TSB behind the earlier editions. NOTE - In TSB 82-19A the Glossary section was referred to as Section 5. Due to LPG calibrations, Section 5 now becomes the LPG section and the Glossary simply remains as the Glossary.
