Rattle or vibrating noise coming from the engine compartment may be caused by the fan shroud vibrating against the left lower flange of the radiator.

Vehicles can be serviced by removing the radiator and fan shroud from the vehicle and drilling a 3/16" hole approximately 5/8" from the left side of the shroud through both the fan shroud and the radiator flange (Figure 5).
Install the shroud and radiator to the vehicle and attach a #8 - 32 x .50" bolt, lockwasher and nut through the drilled hole and tighten.
