Throttle Body: Service and Repair

4-97.6 Engine

1. Remove fuel charging assembly as previously described.
2. Disconnect throttle position sensor and air bypass valve electrical connectors from wiring harness.
3. Remove four throttle body attaching nuts.
4. Tag and disconnect vacuum lines from throttle body.
5. Remove throttle body bracket.
6. Remove throttle body from upper intake manifold.
7. Remove and discard throttle body gasket.
8. Reverse procedure to install, using new gasket. Torque throttle body attaching nuts and bracket nuts to 12 - 15 ft. lbs.
