A customer concern of an occasional no 2-3 upshift after a 3-2 downshift on transaxles built prior to November 1, 1983, can be caused by direct clutch cylinder assemblies with a mismatched groove at the bottom of the bore (Figure 11).
To service, install a new direct clutch cylinder (service stock has been inspected).
