Steering Wheel: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove steering wheel trim pad, horn button or ring. On 1982-83 models with 4-spoke steering wheel, alternately push out on the cover retaining posts using a {9-32} inch rod through two access holes in back of steering wheel.
3. Disconnect horn and speed control wiring, if equipped.
4. Remove steering wheel nut.
5. Mark relationship between steering shaft and steering wheel hub for proper reinstallation.
6. Remove steering wheel with a suitable puller.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
