TRANSMISSION - AUTOMATIC - A4LD/C3 - FRONT PUMP SUPPORT CRESCENT CASING APPEARANCE
A4LD pump stators are being replaced in the field, due to the rough appearance of the crescent casting.
VIEW A, in Figure 1, identifies the area of concern. The rough appearance of the casting is INTENTIONAL, and IS NOT a flaw.
The function of the pump is not affected, and it should NOT be replaced due to this appearance.
