PERFORMANCE POOR DUE TO CARBURETOR FLOODING - 1.6L & 3.3L


FORD 1982-83 ESCORT/EXP, FAIRMONT, MUSTANG

LINCOLN-MERCURY 1982-83 LYNX/LN7, ZEPHYR, CAPRI

CALIBRATIONS: All carburetor equipped 1.6L & 3.3L engines

A flooding carburetor may be due to migration of epoxy particles from the fuel filter into the inlet needle and seat. A new filter (E3FZ-9155-E) has been released for servicing carburetors with the above condition.

Service the inlet needle and seat as necessary, clean the fuel inlet channel as required and replace the fuel filter with an E3FZ-9155-E.

If a fuel filter other than E3FZ-9155-E is used, the customer is likely to return with the same concern.
