Leather covered steering wheels produced before January 1983 have a tendency to ooze adhesive out of the seams in hot weather. Previous instructions to the field requested that the wheels be cleaned with an allpurpose cleaner. This procedure resulted in repeat servicing and customer dissatisfaction because the adhesive continued to ooze out during hot weather. Therefore, this condition should be serviced by replacement of these steering wheels.
Remove and replace steering wheel using normal shop manual procedures.
