HORN - BLOWS WHILE VEHICLE IS UNATTENDED AT LOW AMBIENT TEMPERATURES

Horn blowing automatically after a cold soak on the above vehicles with oval steering wheel, is caused by the three (3) oval horn plates shorting out and actuating the horn at low temperatures.

To correct this condition, replace the horn pad (horn blow cover) using the procedure in the appropriate Shop Manual, with one of the horn pads listed below.
