Some vehicles with Quadra-shock rear suspension may exhibit rear wheel bearing noise during various driving modes. This noise may be one or more of the following:
1. One tone that reacts to throttle movement similar to ring gear and pinion noise and can be heard even in neutral coast.
^ Replace the axle shaft.
2. Random low frequency (rumble or gravel) noise over a wide speed range.
^ Replace the wheel bearing and seal.
If both noises are present, replacement of the axle shaft, wheel bearing and seal may be necessary.
