The ink stamped production date traditionally located on or near the radiator core support in some cases became unreadable from spilled fluids or other causes. These date stamps have now been relocated to a less susceptible location. The new locations and production effective dates are as follows:
Unitized Body Cars - Top surface of the L.H. shock tower, effective in production 5/27/83.
Frame Cars - Top of the L.H. side rail just forward of the "A" arm. Effective in production 5/20/83.
Econoline - On the cowl, L.H. side just below the cowl top panel. Effective in production 5/17/83.
F Series/Bronco - Dash panel L.H. side inboard of L.H. hood hinge. Effective in production 5/13/83.
Ranger/Bronco II - Dash panel R.H. side directly above heater blower motor. Effective in production 5/16/83.
