Radio/Stereo: Service and Repair

EXCEPT 1982---83

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove radio knobs and instrument panel center trim panel.
3. Remove radio mounting plate screws, then pull radio outward to disengage lower rear support bracket.
4. Disconnect antenna and speaker leads from radio, then remove radio.
5. Remove nuts and washers from radio control shafts. Remove mounting plate.
6. Remove rear support retaining nut and support.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
