Recent field returns indicate that technicians are replacing the glass bracket assembly (23276-7) unnecessarily when only the plastic snap-in tube guides (222A92/22362) are broken. These plastic tube guides are serviceable and dealers should note the following correct carline applications whenever service replacement is necessary.

The 1983 Carline Shop Manuals, Section 42, reflect removal and installation instructions for the glass run and bracket assemblies for access to plastic tube guides. See Figure 1 for a typical assembly.
