1. Verify existence of perforation corrosion. The perforation will generally lie in an area approximately two inches (2") above and along the bottom edge of the decklid hem flange.
2. Replace the luggage compartment decklid if corrosion perforation is evidenced. Refer 1984 Car Shop Manual, Body/Chassis/Electrical, Volume C, Group 44.
NOTE:
Paint both inner and outer panel surfaces.
3. Transfer luggage compartment decklid trim and components.
4. Mutilate and scrap removed luggage compartment decklids.
