FORD 1984 TEMPO, ESCORT W/2.0L DIESEL ENGINE

LINCOLN-MERCURY 1984 TOPAZ, LYNX W/2.0L DIESEL ENGINE

A charge indicator light that flashes after the car has been started and running for approximately 3 minutes with minimum electrical load and engine RPM above 1200 may have an open diode in the alternator rectifier assembly. Use 1984 Shop Manual, Page 31-10-4 to diagnose and service the rectifier assembly.
