Idle boom may be alleviated by increasing the idle speed up to 825 RPM.

Idle boom is a cycling rhythmic noise often accompanied by a sensation of pressure on the ear drums (Shop Manual Volume B, Page 18-01-2). It may be alleviated by increasing the idle RPM up to 50 RPM until the boom level is decreased. The idle specification which was 725-775, can now be increased to 725-825 RPM.
