There are two terms or symbols used in the EVTM and/or Shop Manual Wiring Diagrams that may not be familiar to some technicians. The symbol "T/O" in the EVTM stands for "Take Out" and refers to the point that a wire or group of wires come out of a wire loom. This could also be referred to as a "branch".
Figure 3 - DRIVER AIR BAG MODULE:
The 1985 Car Shop Manual Supplement for Tempo/ Topaz that covers the airbag restraint system has a symbol that is not found in most wire diagrams. This symbol, Figure 3, shows a shorting connector that shorts the two wires together when the connector is disconnected.
