CALIBRATIONS: 3.8L 2V Non A/C Canadian Only

WARNING: This modification is authorized only for the listed engines. Performing this modification on other engine calibrations is unauthorized and could create liability under applicable federal or local laws.

When a rough idle or stalling condition is encountered on the subject vehicle, the following inspection procedure should be followed to insure that the proper 14289 wire harness is installed on the vehicle before performing normal (rough idle/stalling) diagnostic procedures.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1. Locate the anti-diesel solenoid mounted on left top of engine.

2. Check the single wire coming from the 14289 wire harness to the solenoid.

3. If the wire is color coded (red/yellow hash), the 14289 wire harness is correct.

4. If the wire is color coded (light green/pink hash), the 14289 wire harness is incorrect and must be replaced with the correct harness.

5. Replace the wire harness and check the system for proper operation.
