If the horn pad pops out of the steering wheel or becomes excessively distorted, replace it with a new horn pad, E5SZ-13A805-BB for Thunderbird Turbo, or E5WY-13A805-AA for Cougar XR7. Do not attempt to use the original horn pad. The new horn pad will have a black plastic base covered by a black vinyl cover. Be sure to use the new spring that comes with the pad assembly.

NOTE: When installing the replacement horn pad, be sure the horn wires are not pinched.
