LINCOLN-MERCURY 1985 COUGAR
A low oil pressure warning signal may be erroneously activated on the subject vehicles. The warning signal is a flashing of the oil ISO symbol and an audible tone that lasts approximately 1-2 seconds and repeats every 5 seconds.
An incorrect oil pressure sender (D9ZZ-9278-A) was installed on the electronic cluster vehicles from Job No. 1 through November 8, 1984. After November 8, 1984, the correct Part No. E4ZZ-9278-A part was installed. Any subject vehicles requiring service for the above condition should have the E4ZZ-9278-A part installed.
